"Very friendly, much more genuine and compassionate than my old dentist. Understanding about insurance and cost constraints. Great looking and very well equipped facility, but also surprisingly affordable. After 15+ years with my previous dentist, switching to Shook has been the best dental decision I've made in a long time."

"This was the best dental place I have been too. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The building is very beautifully set up and in a perfect location in my opinion. Very serene. Thank you so much for everything!."

"I don't typically give any person place or thing 5 stars, because where does that leave room to grow or improve but this office is an absolute class act from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. Dr Monica Shook is hands down one of the kindest, most sensitive and informative dentist I have had in my 51 years of needing a dentist. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you to the entire Shook Family Dental team for making my experience bearable but extremely pleasant as well!"
With same day crowns, you can restore a damaged or decaying tooth in just a single appointment. Even if you have a busy schedule, we can restore your smile without having to miss work or school!
Other dental practices use messy goops and impressions for their same day crown procedures. We use state-of-the-art technology: the CEREC® milling and grinding unit and CEREC Software. Our process is digital and far more precise, ensuring a comfortable appointment PLUS beautiful results!

The entire procedure usually only takes 1-2 hours

At your preparation appointment, Dr. Shook will clean and numb your mouth. Then, he will trim away some of your enamel and take a mold of your teeth, which will be sent to our dental lab.

You’ll be sent home with a resin crown to protect your trimmed tooth, and our partner dental lab will begin building your crown. This may take a few weeks.

Once your crown is done and arrives at Shook Family Dental, you’ll come back for your last appointment. Dr. Shook will check the crown and then bond it in place permanently, completing the procedure.

Crowns usually have a lifespan of between 10-20 years, but can easily last longer. Maintain good oral hygiene and see Dr. Shook for a teeth cleaning and oral exam every six months to keep your crown in good shape.
Crowns don’t hurt at all. Your mouth will be numb during the treatment process, so you will feel no pain or discomfort. Your tooth may feel tender for a few days, but it will feel completely normal once your permanent crown has been placed.
